I make no excuses for who I am.
Beyond simple genetics and the first few years of life, I have been responsible for my life.
I’ve tried giving that responsibility to other people, and even that I am responsible for.
I am who I am from the choices I have made.
There are no other reasons, people, or circumstances that I can point to that have more direct impact on who I am, than what I choose.
That can be a rather remarkable revelation if it catches you by surprise.
Said to self:
Stop making excuses for your behavior. It's your behavior, stop thinking that other people are in control.
(yes, I’m aware that this would work better if stated in the positive, and I’m not going to change it)
